THE BEAUTIFUL PHILIPPINES
...The PHILIPPINES An archipelago of more than 7,100 islands strewn across a great streach of tropical sea. Add just about the worlds most diverse ecosystems. Throw in hundreds of ancient cultures and one modern one. Steep it in a rich history at the crossroads of Southeast Asia. Ontop of which we place soaring mountains, beautiful white sand beaches, clear waters, and rememberable sunsets... and voila, you have got the PHILIPPINES. Long bypassed by most travellers to Southeast Asia because of its location on the opposite side of the South China sea, the Philippines is a well kept secret among those that have travelled there. These coral fringed islands are home to wonders enough to stagger even the most jaded traveller: extraordinary rice terraces, tropical rainforests, underground rivers, soaring limestone towers, unihabited islands, cascading waterfalls, white sand beaches and wonderful sunsets... and thats just above the oceans surface! Below, you have the reefs and walls, offering memorable diving and snorkelling, and in Palawan the wreck diving is perhaps the BEST IN THE WORLD.
But its more than just the stunning natural scenery, its the people of the Philippines that most visitors find unforgettable. From isolated hill tribes, to the intellectual urban dwellers, Filipinos form a mosaic that reflects the islands rich and varied nature
For those who are willing to adapt to the challenges of travel here, there will be plenty of rewards, so relax, slow down your in a different world, set your clock to Philippines time, keep your eyes open, somewhere among those 7,107 islands there is a great adventure waiting to happen... one visit and "YOU WILL BE HOOKED FOR LIFE"

Introduction
Mabuhay, and a very warm welcome to our wiki!
What is a wiki? that is a good question, a wiki is a set of web pages that anyone can add too or alter, in other words do you have anything interesting to share with others about the Philippines, a story, a folk tale, an experience just a comment, or photograph, its easy to add too or even start a new page. Like this one Photos from the Philippines. Then all you need to do is click the edit button above and jump in, whats the worst you can do, well you could mess up this page, but thats alright i can always rebuild it. I would prefer that you read the wiki style page before you start to play, or start your own page, go on go for it.

Ormoc City. A busy port, with a bustling wharf area.. where all the bus and jeepney stations and offices are located. Ormoc Net is also located here. There is an attractive grassy promanade along the waterfront known as the Plaza, and the Don Felipe Hotel, City Hall, Superdome and Chitos Chow are all situated on or opposite this plaza. Ormoc is believed to be one of the early Malay settlements in the Philippines, and its name is derived from a spring called "Ugmok" settled by the Malays long before the Spanish Conquest. More recently, it was a centre of WW11 activity, with some of the bloodiest battles on Philippines soil taking place over three days in 1944 between the retreating Japanese and the U.S. and Filipino forces. Yamashitas Gold, a quasi mythical treasure trove, named after the Japanese Commander, and left behind by the fleeing Japanese, is believed by some to be hidden in the hills outside of Ormoc.

This is a great idea, just like wikipedia you can add bits to the site, remove old outdated bits or simply change them. You can put up your own page or add to one already there.
